  • Derby Postponed & Trail Closure

Due to the recent warm weather, the Border Valley Snow Goers trails are temporarily closed. We’ll continue to monitor the weather, and if we receive more snow and conditions improve, we will reopen the trails.

Unfortunately, our Poker Derby has been cancelled until further notice.

We know many were looking forward to this event, but safety comes first. We’ll provide updates when conditions improve and plans are confirmed.

If you’re out in the area and happen to see a fallen trail sign, please pick it up and move it off to the side so it doesn’t get buried if we receive more snow. This small effort helps us tremendously when it comes time to reopen.

Thank you to our members and volunteers for your continued support and respect for the trails. We’ll post updates as conditions change.

  • Remembering Vern Wieler

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Vern Wieler, founding member and longtime president of the Border Valley Snow Goers. Vern was more than just a leader—he was the heart of our club, dedicating countless hours to building and maintaining the trails we all enjoy. His passion for snowmobiling, his commitment to the community, and his steady leadership helped shape BVSG into what it is today.

Vern’s legacy will live on in every ride, every trail, and every gathering of friends who share his love for the sport. His impact on our club and the snowmobiling community will never be forgotten.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.

  • Trails Closed For The Season

And just like that, another season comes to a close! Border Valley Snow Goers would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all our riders, volunteers, landowners, and supporters who made this season possible. Your dedication and passion for the sport keep our trails alive year after year!

A special shout-out to our amazing groomer operators and maintenance crews who put in countless hours to keep the trails in top shape. And, of course, to everyone who rode responsibly and supported local businesses along the way—your respect for the trails and the community means the world to us.

As we wrap up for the season, please remember that all trails are now officially closed. Enjoy the off-season, and we’ll see you next winter for another great year of riding!
